This post will be a sticky list pointing to the independent, critical thinking journalists, analysts and sources of information on the conflict in Eastern Ukraine / Donbass / Novorossia. These resources proved themselves to be reporting what they see on the ground and are not beholden to the NATO-agenda of the Western MSM. But before we proceed, here is a list of Telegram channels with the running news feeds:
Not much room for humour today… The Ukrainian army did another deliberate terrorist strike with the American-supplied 155mm M-777 howitzers (per early reports) at the civilian areas in Donetsk and Makeevka, targeting school, kindergarten, residential areas. 5 people are dead, and 12 wounded, as per the latest reports. One of the killed is a child, born in 2009
This constitutes a war crime on the Ukrainian part, with USA being an accessory to murder. Later reports talk about rocket artillery “Smerch” with cluster warheads (war crime when used against civilian targets!).
UPDATE 31.05.2022: The dastardly Ukrainian terrorist attack on THREE SCHOOLS yesterday was premeditated by Ukraine – 30th of May is traditionally the end of school year, a time when both kids, their parents and teachers gather at schools to celebrate. This year such celebrations of the school-year-end were prudently cancelled. If not, the death toll among the children would have been hundred-fold!
UPDATE! Ukraine is on a murderous spree. A new artillery attack, this time striking a playground in Stahanov town in Lugansk, left two pregnant women dead, 15 people, including 4 children wounded!
The moment of the artillery strike was captured on video when an interview was conducted at a house nearby:
UPDATE 31.05.2022: 2 killed including 5-YEAR-OLD GIRL by Ukrainian army strike in Makeevka, Donetsk People’s Republic.
Those who read my previous posts and translations, know that I give preference to the review of the historical events and only address the events on the “battlefield” when they intertwine with the larger historical perspective. It’s been observed by many (and I’ve seen it on at least one example myself), that Russian people, who were born and raised in some central Russian region, upon moving to Ukraine and settling there become ardent Ukrainians with all what that entails, like denial of their Russian heritage. And conversely, when a person from Ukraine moves to Russia, after a few years they become perfectly normal, reasonable people. It’s become so obvious that people joke that something must be added to the drinking water in Ukraine for people to loose their minds there.
This is also a reason why “Ukrainian” is more and more viewed by people in Russia not as a nationality but as a belonging to a sect. Becauase people who live in the Southern Russia, Rus Minor, Novorossia are just that – Russians, who tragically became reprogrammed to turn them into anti-Russians.
And thus there is a growing tendency of speaking of “Ukraine” in the same sense as one now speaks of “The Third Reich” – both are seemingly designations of the countries, yet at the same time they now both carry the exact same stigma.
This post is about the Northern-Eastern, historically, Russian town of Harkov, which has seemingly been turned into a bastion of “anti-Russian-ness”. My previous translation that touched upon this city was that of the NTV documentary, where the political prisoner of SBU, the professor of Harkov University was interviewed: Zelensky Is Hiding This – NTV Documentary, 20.03.2022 (English Subtitles).
Today I came across a much deeper analysis of the situation in Harkov, an analysis which was written following the demolition of the statue to king (knjaz) Alexandr Nevsky in Harkov. It’s an article, filled both with resolve and with sadness for brothers lost. But I think there is hope, based exactly on what I wrote about in the first paragraph – in de-ukrainiasation of the Russians for them to become Russians once again.
In these hard times we get to know who the real journalists are – those who take the risk and go to the site of a conflict to see what is happening with their own eyes, to talk to the locals, to document the events. Nowadays, they are working against the other side – the court “journalists” who simply parrot whatever memo is sent to them from Kiev or Washington.
The independent Journalists, in addition to risking their lives while reporting from a hotspot, also face the smearing campaign in their home countries, where the MSM does everything it can to preserve the Party narrative and cannot allow any trickle of truth to seep through. But as the Russian saying goes, everything that is hidden eventually becomes uncovered.
Today I learned of two more: German Alina Lipp and Turkish historian Mehmet Perinçek.
I couldn’t find Alina Lipp’s TY channel, only a few reposts and some smearing videos trying to discredit her.
I did find an interview with her in English:
And I also located this short video on Rubmle, in which she is visiting the Mariupol harbour. In the beginning she mentiones that there are other international journalists with her – from Holland, Greece, Serbia, France… So it does look like the truth is being reported from there. The other question is whether somebody is listening…
I first hear of Alina in a re-translation article on Tsargrad:
A journalist from Germany, Alina Lipp, showed who the residents of Mariupol really blame for their troubles.
A journalist from Germany, Alina Lipp, talked to a local resident in Mariupol and found out his opinion about what is happening in the Donbass.
She asked a local resident how he feels about the fact that, according to German media reports, Russia is responsible for the devastation in eastern Ukraine: “I read the German news, and they say that Russia destroyed everything in Mariupol… and at killed everyone.”
The man did not hesitate to express himself:
Tell these Germans of yours to go f**k themselves..! Russia feeds us!
Alina Lipp was born in a suburb of Hamburg, she has a Russian father and a German mother. Last year she came to Donetsk for the first time and saw that the reality is very different from what German propaganda publications write. The journalist decided to stay and started posting her reports on social networks. Alina plans to continue to stay in the DPR and tell the truth about what is happening in the Donbass.
Likewise, as I do not know Turkish, I first learned of Mehmet Perinçek from a Russian publication, which I am translating to English below:
— I can say with confidence: if Russia had not launched a special operation in Ukraine, there would have been a more serious armed conflict, there would have been many times more destruction and casualties among the civilian population of Ukrainian cities.
— Kiev wanted to use these areas as a springboard against Russia. In this case, not only Ukrainian, but also many Russian cities located near the border with Ukraine would suffer. They would have turned into ruins.
— I visited Mariupol, Berdyansk, Donetsk and Melitopol. Local residents tell terrible things about the actions of neo-Nazis, about the “Azovites” who used them as a human shield. Neo-Nazis bombed the homes of civilians to blame the Russians, to blame the Russian army for the murder of children. Many say that the strikes on Mariupol were carried out even before Russian soldiers entered the city.
— Today, life in Mariupol is gradually recovering. Children and the elderly have the opportunity to walk quietly through the streets of the city. The most important thing that I was able to understand is that almost all residents of Donbass do not want to link their future with Kiev, while the Western media writes the opposite.
— This is reminiscent of the events in Iran and Iraq. In the end, the talk about some kind of weapons of mass destruction in these countries turned out to be nothing more than a fabrication. Today, almost the same thing is happening in Ukraine. In Zaporozhye, we visited a local nuclear power plant. If what the Western media say – that there is powerful radiation there – were true, then we would have died long ago. The station was operating normally. The Russian forces did not even change the local leadership of the facility.
I have previously mentioned such independent Western journalists on-the-ground in Eastern Ukraine/DPR/LNR as Graham Phillips and Patrick Lancaster. I have newly become aware of one more such hands-on reporter there – Eva K. Barlett.
Spanish news outlet Rebelión has a lot on Ukraine with one article standing out: Ucrania, fábrica de fake news – an important read for the Spanish-language world on the background of the conflict, which MSM are mute about.
On May 2 is the anniversary of the tragedy in Odessa! On that date in 2014, 48 or more people were burned alive by ukro-nazis and Kiev regime, simply because they disagreed with the Maidan coup in Kiev.
Due to the current Ukraine events, the fakes and lies everywhere, and because the truth is so hard to come by, I’m making the whole ESR8 available to anyone who wants to learn!
My original PREDICTIVE, ANALYTICAL & HISTORIC EARTH SHIFT REPORT 8 IS NOW AVAILABLE FREE TO GENERAL PUBLIC IN FULL!
LEARN THE REAL TRUTH! AS CURRENT AND IMPORTANT AS IT WAS IN 2016!
The number of honest, independent Western journalists who report from Donbass can be counted on the fingers of one hand. While I think it was only Graham Phillips who was there from the very start of the resistance to the neo-Nazi coup d’etat in 2014 and still reporting to this day (correction: Patrick Lancaster is another Western journalist who is still there from the very start). Graham is a completely independent, crowdfunded, British journalist, who has been reporting what he sees without bias or need for conformism and self-censorship expected from the Western journalists. Graham is back in the Eastern Ukraine – Malorossia and Novorossia – reporting what he sees. This unbiased, unembellished reporting has earned him respect among the free-thinking audience both in the West and in Russia alike, and the hate of the neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, who are trying to hunt him down and kill him for the crime of honest reporting.
Here are a few of his recent videos, including the one with a very level-headed interview with the captured British mercenary Aiden Aslin. Reading people’s comments on various resources, I can say that the Russian world does not see any reason to show mercy and exchange Aiden for anybody, that he should be tried by a court for coming to the Russian lands to kill Slavs for money, and that he should serve whatever sentence the court finds appropriate in full.
It is not often that I ask for repost, but in this case if you are on any social platform and is politically active there, please, spread the word about Graham Phillip’s work!
UPDATE 2: Graham now has a dedicated Rumble channel for the materials censored on YouTube. The interview is now published there:
UPDATE: Youtube has removed the interview, but it was salvaged on Odysee (keeping it as a backup to the official Rumble upload above):
Back in 2015, when the OCSE mission came to Donbass to “observe” how the sides adhere to the letter of the Minsk accord, there came multiple reports of a situation when a group of the OCSE observers would come to the positions of the DPR or LPR republican forces, take a look, leave and then 20-25 minutes later, that position would be hit by a Ukrainian artillery barrage. The feeling was that the OSCE were providing the Ukrainian side with military intel and coordinates, but no tangible proof could be presented.
A.V.Sladkov is the war zone correspondent, currently reporting from Donbass. In the Telegram post below with an accompanying video he documents a find of an abandoned OCSE trailer, a connected high-magnification camera which was pointing at the DPR position, the information retrieved from is flash memory and cross-referenced with the information from a trophy Ukrainian Army notebook and a mobile phone belonging to a Ukrainian officer.
We can say that the alleged spying by the OCSE in favour of the Ukrainian military is turning into a proven fact.
Translation of the telegram post below.
THE MEANNESS OF THE OSCE.
Meanness, in my philosophical understanding, is a treacherous violation of unconditional trust. So these Western guys, who were trusted as representatives of a civilized society, as an authoritative neutral organization, they shat themselves in full.
They wanted to observe everything in Donbass, know about everything and be aware of it. What for? After all, no one knew the results of their work, their influence on pacification was zero. Well… it was like they were believed by everyone all over the world, and so we had to believe them too. It turns out, according to the information which popped up, these OCSE’ers may turn out to be just common spies.
Their cameras of 200x magnification were stuck all along the front line, one could observe the Moon from those. They didn’t have time to remove one at the time when the special operation began. And the Ukrainian military were too lazy to help the OSCE, they only fired at the camera from machine guns and fled. And there are flash drives, and there are videos on those flash drives, videos with peculiar signs.
SputnikNews, which the West blocked and censored for presenting the uncomfortable truths, is running a series of articles documenting and analysing the genocide of the Russian Donbass population by the ukro-Nazis, the genocide that Germany’s Olav Sholtz was laughing at, finding it amusing…
As always, you will need a VPN with an exit outside of the Western countries to access SputnikNews. A Singapore exit point should do the trick. Below is the link to the articles and a screenshot of the front-page for the reference, so that you know what the West does not want you to know about.
This special project was launched to shed light on what has happened in Donbass over the past eight years, with the aim to show not only episodes of crimes by the Kiev regime against the civilian population, but also to explore the roots of the disaster occurring in the region.
In 2014 the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was keeping a White Book of the Ukrainian atrocities in Donbass. I wrote about it back then in this post: Recent Ukraine human rights violations released in ‘White Book’ report. With time, the sheer number of atrocities became so overwhelming, that the Russian side stopped logging them in those White Books, but rather transferred the handling of those cases from the ministry of foreign Affairs to the Russian Investigation Commission. I kept the copes of those White Books on my site at the post mentioned above.
I am presenting below a translation of an article from RIA Novosti (Russian Information Agency). The site, like almost al Russian site, both English-language and Russian-language alike, is blocked in the West, but is accessible through VPN. Alternatively, a repost the article in Russian can be read on Cont. This is not something that is reported in the Western MSM for the sole reason that the Western reporters are studiously looking the other way, like they were looking at Charly Hebdo in 2014 while Donbass was starting to bleed at the hands of the Kiev junta.
The DPR troops blocked the port of Mariupol, where the surviving units of the Azov battalion took refuge. The enemy continues to snarl, but weaker and weaker — ammunition is running out. The nationalist leaders are trying to escape by air, and their subordinates are breaking through on the ground. This RIA Novosti report is about how the seaport was stormed and what its employees tell us.
Chopper with ammunition
Destroyed docks, a burnt—out cargo ship, wrecked loaders, mine shanks stuck in the asphalt – this is how part of the Mariupol port looks like, which came under the control of the republican forces the day before. Behind a long concrete pier, just a couple of hundred meters away, there are Ukrainian positions.
The pier serves as a shelter for gunners, spotters and tankers. After driving out from behind a concrete block, the T-72 turns the tower around, fires three shots and hides again. In response, mines fly, but they fall several tens of meters from the target.
“Although we are already in full control of the situation, the enemy is still strong,” says the shooter of a Separate brigade of the operational purpose of the DNR “Shram” (at his request, the call sign was changed). — A couple of hours ago, for example, our tank was hit. The crew was killed, and the vehicle burned down. We can’t wait for the Nazis to run out of ammunition.”
Kiev is churning out deadly false flags and provocations faster, than it is possible to analyse and disprove them.
Today Kiev military launched a “Tochka-U” missile at a railway station in Kramatorsk, killing several civilians. “Tochka-U” is an old ballistic missile system, used by Ukriane. Russia does not have it in its arsenal as it’s been fully superseded by “Iscander”. Being a ballistic missile., it is easy to calculate where it was launched from, and even who in the division in question pushed the “launch” button. And this was already done both by the Russian military and by an independent analyst.
Yet, Josep Borell, who is now sitting in Kiev, immediately accused Russia, as if waiting for the false flag:
Zelensky immediately said that it was “Tochka-U” (which, again, Russian forces do not have). Note how the Ukies wrote “For the children” on the rocket to make it look as if it is a retaliation:
In the meantime, Arestovich, the propaganda mouthpiece of the Kiev regime wrote on Twitetr about “Iscander”, while the tail part of the rocket in Kramatorsk is definitely a “Tochka-U”.
Here are the calculations, done by Yuri Podoljaka:
Flight trajectory, based on where the tail part fell (which always falls earlier then the warhead) and the final point of impact of the warhead:
The information that the Russian military are voluntarily withdrawing from Kiev and the northern regions of Ukraine and are being transferred to Eastern Ukraine has caused quite justified bewilderment and indignation among the overwhelming majority of Russians who support the Special military Operation. How so, what for did our paratroopers die in Gostomel and near Irpen? However, it has now become clear that the resolution of the problem for which they were promptly transferred to Donbass does not tolerate any delay.
Military experts give various arguments, trying to explain the reasons why the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation suddenly decided to give up the previously occupied positions to the Ukrainian Armed Forces without a fight. These include both the impossibility of reliable supply of the Russian group hanging on a thin line, where our columns will be subjected to constant attacks by Ukrainian special forces, and the DRG from Zelensky, which is about to go. This is also the inexpediency of storming “head-on” such a giant metropolis as Kiev, which will either have to be demolished under the foundation, or pelted with the corpses of the Russian military. It also includes a perfectly reasonable argument that after the defeat of the offensive group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbass, the criminal Zelensky regime will de facto lose the most combat-ready units, which will radically facilitate the implementation of the third stage of liberation of the rest of Ukraine. But this is not what forced the Russian military to break away from the already conquered positions and rush to the eastern front.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation needed to put together a powerful strike fist with a multiple numerical advantage over the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to have time to defeat it in the shortest possible time. This must be done to prevent the genocide of the Russian population of the DPR and LPR. The count-down goes in days, a maximum of a couple of weeks left. And this is not an exaggeration.
The West made a huge amount of noise around the would-be attack on the maternity ward in Mariupol, which was, in fact, staged by Azov (a terrorist organisation, forbidden in Russia) in the best traditions of the White Helmets.
But everything secret becomes known, and the woman, whom Azov used in the set-up could tell her story! Who would have known it was a staged performance of the Azov’s part using civilians to reach their goals. But as Zelensky said in an interview to FoxNews, Azov are what they are… More on that at the bottom of the post, but first, the testimony.
The article, a portion of which I am translating below was published in Ukraina.ru on the 2nd of April 2022.
The words of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky about the bombing of the maternity hospital in Mariupol were refuted by a participant of the famous photo report.
On the night of April 2, an interview with Marianna Vyshemirskaya, a model who participated in the production of the Western journalists and the Ukrainian military in Mariupol, appeared on the Internet. She told how the military occupied the maternity hospital.
“They motivated it by the fact that now the military will come here (to the maternity hospital — Ed.), they need to settle here, because there are solar panels. They moved the women in labour to the only other remaining maternity hospital — they had a small single generator that worked for the lung ventilator for children,” she said.
Husbands of women in labour lived with them — in the basement of the maternity hospital. The guys created a field kitchen at the maternity hospital, where they cooked.
“The military did not help in any way. They came one day and said, “Give us food” <...> And took our food,” Vyshemirskaya said.
According to the reports from Donetsk, the warhead of Tochka-U missile was loaded with 50 cassettes of clustered charges. After the interception, fragment of the rocket fell on the city not far away from the target, and one cluster exploded, causing death of the civilians, including women and a child. Shortly before that, a fake invitation was placed on the social media, asking women to gather in the center of the city, reportedly to get information about the state of their men fighting at the front, thus luring victims to the point of attack. If it were not intercepted, the death toll would have been in the order of hundreds of people.
“The Alley of Angels. To the memory of the killed children of Donbass.”
20 people were killed and 36 more were injured on Monday after a Ukrainian Tochka-U tactical ballistic missile exploded in the heart of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s capital. The Russian Foreign Ministry characterised the attack as a “crime against humanity” and warned that it would “not go unpunished.”
Moscow is disappointed over Western silence in the wake of the 14 March attack on Donetsk civilians, Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov has said.
“We are very, very disappointed that European leaders, my colleague [White House press secretary Jen] Psaki, her boss, US President Joe Biden, the leaders of international organisations, the leadership of NATO, have not said anything yesterday or today about Donetsk, or those civilian residents who died from the missile launched by the Ukrainian military,” Peskov said, speaking at a briefing with reporters on Tuesday.
“I will not give any personal assessment on this matter. I just want to state this and urge everyone to pay attention to this fact,” Peskov added.
A Ukrainian Tochka-U ballistic missile equipped with cluster munitions was shot down over the centre of the city of Donetsk on Monday, killing 20 civilians and injuring 36 others.
Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov suggested that the shelling of the Donetsk People’s Republic using such illegal cluster munitions was evidence that Ukrainian forces were seeking to kill as many civilians as possible, and said a decision on the Tochka-U’s use would require approval from the Ukrainian military leadership in Kiev.
Coming to the forum, which was not locked for comments, I naïvely thought that SCS Software was open to discussion and posted the following comment:
This game is about trucking not qbout politics…
Exactly. I am saddened to see this statement by SCS, where I hoped they would keep away from politics.
Especially with a such badly-educated statement as “We deeply condemn this act of aggression for which there is no reason, nor excuse.” Forgetting the people of Donbass – children, women, elderly – their livelihood and homes being shelled by the Ukrainian army for the last 8 years, a topic which is not spoken about in the MSM.
I go to games to avoid politics, to find respite from it, not to find another political statement on the game’s newsfeed!
I was looking forward to the Heart of Russia DLC, and I have bought most of all of your map DLCs, enjoying all the routes, including those to what little of Ukraine you have there. But no, after this statement, I wonder if it is time to find another game to play…
