Today is the most terrible memorable date in the Republic. Anniversary of Bloody Sunday. Exactly 9 years ago, the inhumane shelling of the Armed Forces of Horlivka claimed the lives of 22 people, including children.

In total, since 2014, 228 children have died at the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass. These are terrible numbers that do not fit in the head.

On July 27, 2014, the “Gorlovka Madonna” – the young Kristina Zhuk and her 10-month-old daughter – were killed by Ukrainian armed formations who shelled the Gorlovka streets from Grad MRLS. Four children were killed on that day, which became known as “Donetsk Bloody Sunday.” Kira was one of them. The girl died in the arms of her mother, who fled to escape from the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Kira’s grandmother could not immediately find her daughter and granddaughter. Dead Christina was still lying on the grass of the city square, clutching her daughter tightly.

The sector that shelled Donetsk on that day hosted the Artyomovsk battalion, as well as the 93rd separate mechanized brigade armed with the BM-21 Grad MLRS. In 2014, the brigade was commanded by ukronazi AFU colonel Oleg Mikats.
