Some Ladonian subjects have questioned the decency and
appropriateness of the Queens actions.
First of all I want to thank those individuals for bringing
this issue of business up, giving me the opportunity to
stand up for the Queen and take the time to shed light on
this issue of great concern.
The faulty perception of the Queens intent was that she
was doing "porky" business on the board. The person who
insulted the Queen this way lacks an insight in financial
issues.
We must remember that all Ladonians still live in countries
where the financial system is built on the idea of constant
exponential growth and making money on interest and compound
interest. The theories of dealing with money this way should
not actually be called economy but rather chrematistics
according to Lilia Calmér in Fodelse och foraldraskap, a
swedish homebirthers Magazine. Economy is thus only the
science of house-keeping, i.e. how we deal with the resources
on the earth or in a smaller ecologic community.
In nature no never-ending exponential growth takes place.
That's why the chrematistic way of dealing with resources
is so devastating to the ecosystems, locally and globally.
The chrematistic system simply does not fit in to the way
life is evolving on the planet.
Doing ecological farming in Sweden or any other country on
the planet is doing economy in a chrematistic system. A
consequence is that the ecological farmer mostly sells the
products at loss. So does the Queen. Even at the relatively
high price of 45 sek/kg she just makes up to the costs of
the production and makes no profit (read no salary). Should
she sell at a lower price she would sell each pig at loss.
The loss has to be covered. Naturally by making chrematistic
money in some other way. Obviously, in the long run, this
will not work.
If you, the consumer, choose to buy the royal flesh, paying
a fair price, you will contribute to the possibility that
smallscale ecological agriCULTURE is sustained. If you choose
to buy the cheap flesh offered at throwaway prices in the big
stores you will only support the large-scale agroINDUSTRY
that is evolving in horrifying dimensions today (I'm talking
about millions of pigs produced in one totally computorized
agroindustrial company, already existing in the USA).
If you read this far you may now realize that we have to
start dealing with how financial politics should be run
in Ladonia. Should we have a chrematistic system or an
economic system or could we include both? The fact that
we only pay taxes by contributing our creativity supports
the idea of economy. Some citizens have expressed an urge
to start businesses in Ladonia. We must however keep in
mind that unregulated chrematistic production may have
fatal effects on nature. Sandor Posvari has recently pointed
out to us the ecological disaster of the slovakian rerouting
of the Danube for the production of electric power. This
disaster is as all other ecological tragedies on the planet
basically a consequense of chrematistics.
