I find your reply very obliging and ful of good spirit even though I have
to say that our perspectives on things are different. I find your remarks
more utilitarian than mine; but as you so wisely declared, our different
views could be seen as an act of balance. Sometimes we lean to the left,
sometimes we lean to the right, but it seems as we are getting the balance
right (not right).
Even though I still find the Bjoerksaetri debate an important one (i.e a
ful appreciation of our vice-presidents opinion on the matter), I accept
your viewpoint, and I am balancing right. If you see apples as plain apples
it's OK with me, but there are more to it than that (or there has to be; read
not wine). You need creativity to get inside of the apple, so to say, and
of course this creativity can at slight appearance seem useless, but it lies
in the nature of creativity that it has to be set apart from utilitarian demands.
Anyway, I like your idea of making our president divine and thus make him untouchable,
what an amazing thing to do...
