Ave all ladonians!
The new millenium is not far away. But how is this going to
be celebrated?
At least king Taufaahau Tupou IV of Tonga has some very proud
plans, as is fit for a king. He sends his greetings and says
that his kingdom will launch "the greatest party of the world".
But if Tonga, that is situated right on the date line, is not given
the right to start partying first of all, king Tupou threatens
to introduce summertime, thus getting one hours advance.
Now king Tupou gets some opposition from the islands Kiribati and
Fiji, who both claims that they own the right to call themselves
"first in the world".
This is confirmed by Greenwich that announces that it is on Kiribati
the sun will pour the first rays the first of january on the year 2000.
On the other hand Greenwich claims that it is in Greenwich the
new millenium seriously starts.
The question is, what are we in Ladonia to say about this? Are not we
the first country in the world? And thus the country where the
celebration truly starts? And preferably with "partnership of pilsner"...
