"Folke Mellvig was a very active and successful writer, who produced an immense amount of work.
He wrote over thirty detective novels, of which many have been filmed with great success. Mellvig
also wrote a lot of short stories, which were published in different magazines, amongst them "Lektyr".
His frequently recurrent hero was Captain Hillman, whose exciting adventours spellbounded the swedish
people in fron of their radios many nights in the midst of this century. He wrote under many different
pseudonyms, among them Mac Serner. He was a great author but very modest, and he contributed to swedish
detective literature many everlasting pieces."
