I once read a story about a type of water-spirit which would, out of curiousity, assume human form and mingle with the crowds at market-day. Her disguise was complete *except* for the fact that the hem of her apron was always slightly damp and would leave a trail of droplets behind-- something which only the very observant would notice.
I cannot find the book containing the story I read, nor any reference to a spirit of this type. Does anyone have any information or references? It would be appreciated if any answers could be e-mailed rather than posted to the board. Thank you!
