Here's a suggetsion for a new celebration day:
"The mobile phone day". I think it would be nice to celebrate that we have
such a wonderful invention as the mobile phone. My first idea was that
everybody that have a friend that has got a mobile phone sould phone
his/hers friend at every hour (at eleven o'clok, at tweleve o'clock etc.).
This would give s very nice sounds all around the country.
While thinking a little bit further I found that people calling from mobile
phones could not be reached while calling to their friends. This would
cause a substantial loss in mobile phone calls on "the mobile phone day".
The solution to this would be to have the telephone operators to set their
software to automatically call all their subscribers every hour. This would
create very much happpiness, not only from all the nice signals, but also
because everybody gets happy when somebody calls. It should be stated by
law that the telephone operators have to provide this service for free.
I also suggest that, during "themobile phone day" everybody should be
advised to have their phones turned on, even in restaurants and cinemas.
It would also be nice if peopla that have the same model of phone could
gather and have thier phones playing the same tune. This could cause som
troublesome logistics, since many of the popular models have several tunes
to choose from, but I think this could be co-ordinated by the ministry of
jazz in co-operation with the minister of popular music.
