At the very end of the E3 demo there is a series of flashes which, on a frame-by-frame examination, turn out to be comprised of several monochrome images. Among those there is a block of text appearing once and a set of physics expressions, which make three different appearances. According some developers at Valve, the expressions, if understood, will provide the clue to the plot of Half-Life 2. Note the "h dash" which appears at one point in the expression... According to a friend of mine who studies physics, sais there are some elements of statistical functions, as well as a wave-equation present in these images. Here are the frames in question. I hope Valve will not be sending Men in Black over to my doorstep for extracting and publishing the images.
